Raymond I. Poliakin, MD, FACOG

Raymond I. Poliakin MD has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Conejo Valley since 1983. He has been in solo practice since 1985. Dr. Poliakin attended SUNY at Stony Brook where he received a B.S. with Honors in Biology. He graduated from New York Medical College with honors awarded by Alpha Omega Alpha. He then came west to start his Internship and residency at Los Angeles County- USC Medical Center, which was completed in four years. After entertaining several offers to join private practices, which included his cousin’s practice in Manhattan and another cousin’s practice in Florida, Dr. P decided on joining a practice in Newbury Park. After a year and a half, he moved his practice to Thousand Oaks and has been in a solo practice since then. Dr. P has taught gynecologic surgery to the residents of LAC/USC Medical Center for 15 years and is now a Clinical Professor Emeritus. He has written a book, now in its third edition called What You Didn’t Think To Ask Your Obstetrician. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. P has been married to his wife Vickie, an Ob/Gyn nurse (of course) since 1987 and has 4 children.
